Disability Case Manager (Remote)

We’re interested in meeting you. Our Disability Manager/Ability Rehabilitation Consultant role can be part-time or full-time based on your interests.

You are welcome to work at our head office in Aurora, ON, or from a home office anywhere in Canada.

As a member of the arc Health team you will have the chance to serve clients across Canada in all areas of absence and disability. In doing so, you will have the support of our in-house Medical Director and other experts for advice and mentoring, while also having flexibility in terms of when and how you do your work.

Role: You are seeking to bring your experience adjudicating and managing occupational and non-occupational disability claims to this role. This is an exciting opportunity for those who have been hands-on in delivering short-term or long-term disability case management or rehabilitation, enjoy dealing with people and are service-oriented, want to bring a proactive and high-touch approach to their clients, and are energized by a problem-solving approach.

The major responsibilities of this role include:

  • Adjudicate claims and provide decisions on eligibility
  • Demonstrate sound organizational skills and the ability to action files in a timely manner
  • Identify and work to resolve issues to support timely return to work
  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders towards outcomes

To be successful in this role, you are detail-oriented, have the ability to work independently, are self-motivated and take initiative to accomplish tasks, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).

We are particularly interested in candidates fluent in both English and French.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in health sciences, social services, psychology or related field
  • Affiliation with a professional college or association (e.g. CVRP or CVRP eligible, CDMP, RRP, etc.)
  • 3+ years’ experience in occupational and/or non-occupational disability management or with disability and rehabilitation in the insurance industry
